Welcome to Beausoleil!

A restored Perigordian farmhouse offering self catering accommodation in the Dordogne.

Sleeps 2-6. Cot and Pushchair available on request.

Bed and Breakfast is also available with Evening Meal by prior arrangement.

"Beausoleil", once a small fermette, is now privately owned by Steve and Di Roberts who have lovingly restored it to make it comfortable and welcoming, providing all you need to make your holiday enjoyable.

The property has all the features you would expect of a former farmhouse, including stone walls, oak beams and a fireplace with log burner.

Accommodation:

Ground floor: Lounge/Kitchen/Dining Area, Shower Room with toilet and basin, 1 Double Bedroom, ideal for people with some mobility problems, but not suitable for wheelchairs.

First floor: 2 Bedrooms 1 Double with vanity unit. 1 Twin and separate toilet and wash basin.

There are two patio/terrace areas, one of them in the shade at the front of the house, the rear garden has a built in barbecue close to the private swimming pool.

All Electricity/Linen and Towels are provided.

Beausoleil is nestled in the small hamlet of Le Bost providing a peaceful location for a relaxing holiday but is only 1½ kms from the centre of Jumilhac le Grand famous for its magnificent chateau, where shops, bars and restaurants can be found.
Fishing, tennis, cycling and horse riding can all be found and enjoyed locally.

The chateaux of Hautefort and Perigueux and the popular market towns of Brantôme, Thiviers and Excideuil are all within easy driving distance along with many other places to visit in this area of the Dordogne.

Steve can help you, he obtained his French degree in 1976 and has used it during all of his business life. Now officially registered with the French authorities, Steve already has a number of keen students in the surrounding area who fully appreciate the additional benefit of being able to learn in their homes.


Steve also offers translation services. You may want to buy a home in France but need help with the formalities, visiting property with the immobilier or meetings with the Notaire, connecting services such as electricity or the phone, things that can be quite daunting if you don’t speak the language. Whatever it is, Steve can make it an enjoyable and more stress free experience which moving to France is all about.

If you are enjoying the experience of traveling down through France and want to break your journey, where better to do it than "Beausoleil"? You can join us in relaxing friendly and traditional surroundings.

The large double bedroom is tastefully decorated with vanity unit and separate toilet, and there is also a large shower-room.

We offer a traditional French breakfast of mouth watering locally baked croissants and home made jam with freshly brewed coffee/tea. To make it more enjoyable, sit and eat it in the cobbled courtyard and experience the tranquility of the beautiful countryside that surrounds us.
